I was watching some concept videos over lunch about the upcoming Windows release. I almost choked when the narrator announced: "Longhorn blurs the distiction between an application and a document."
I know of vague plans to include some sort of 'safe execution' service in Longhorn that should make it safe to execute anything you recieve via email. Just as we were moving in the right direction. Plenty of security challenges ahead!
I think I am finally happy with the layout of my website. David Wagner unknowingly provided the initial inspiration, I mixed in bits of the old layout and wulffeld assisted with elite CSS skills.
Now I just need to finish the server-side diary tool and enable swiggle on commits to the gallery.
Hello! I am away until Tuesday. See you then.
Special message to plesner: boniding!
Ever since gmail was announced in April, I have noticed an increase in hostilities against Google. Jerry pointed out that it is impossible to be hugely successful and cool at the same time. The people who used to read grc.com are now reading google-watch.org, it seems.
I want to know when people are going to get hostile towards Joel. He never shuts up and except for the odd (old) article about the benefits of nightly builds and revision control, he just talks a lot of bollocks. Stick to software development, Joel. You clearly know nothing about system administration, spam or information security.
