Thanks to the Summerfest 2004 images, the constant outbound network traffic from mongers.org has trippled in the previous 24 hours; the total outgoing traffic for my virtual host has in the same 24 hours increased to four times the amount of data transferred for an entire month.
Our party budget did not include additional network traffic expenses. More beer!

In other news, James Atkinson, a counter-surveillance specialist from the US, recently revealed massive security problems at the Democratic National Convention center. He documented with images how security barriers were incorrectly secured, how vulnerable systems such as communication vans and air-condition systems were extremely poorly protected and so on.
The result? His mailinglist dedicated to security and counter-surveillance he has had hosted at Yahoo for the past 7 years has been shut down. The Department of Homeland Security appears to be investigating him and his reasons for revealing the problems. The US Secret Service can't have civilians pointing out their incompetence or lame terrorism agendas.
